Caramel Choc Lava Cake

The most decadent vegan dessert you'll ever eat. 

INGREDIENTS (serves 2)

  • ¼ Cup + 3 Tbsp Plant Milk 
  • 4 Tbsp Neutral Oil of choice
  • 2 Scoops Cacao Collective Cacao
  • ½ Cup Self Raising Flour (substitute for gf if required) 
  • 3 Tbsp Cacao Powder
  • 4 Tbsp Granulated Sweetener of choice 
  • 3-4 Vegan Chocolate Squares 


  • ½ Cup Coconut Cream
  • 6 Tbsp Sweetener of choice 
  • ½ Tbsp Cornstarch 


1. Add plant milk and oil to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave until warm (not boiling). Scoop in cacao and mix until dissolved. 

2. Sift in the flour and cacao powder. Sprinkle in sweetener of choice. Mix until a thick, smooth batter forms. 

3. Grease a microwave safe bowl or ramekin with oil. Spoon in half of the chocolate cacao batter. Place the chocolate cubes in the middle of the batter. Cover with remaining batter. Place in the microwave for 3 ½ minutes or until cooked through. 

4. Meanwhile, in a small pot, add the coconut cream, sweetener of choice and cornstarch. Heat over medium-high heat, whisk constantly while the coconut cream melts. Lower the heat to a simmer and whisk frequently for approximately 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat to thicken slightly. 

5. When ready to serve, drizzle the caramel sauce over the lava cake.
